THE BEST OF THE TOURS – The Player’s Series is designed for golfers with a competitive streak and those who want a taste of well organized tournament golf. It’s a season-long series of tournaments contested on some of the Middle Atlantic’s upscale favorites. The Player’s Series is an 18-hole, net and gross stroke play event where every shot can mean the difference between qualifying for the year-end Player’s Series Championship or just missing the final cut.   
After becoming a member you can enter as many or few events as you like up to the event registration deadlines, which are ten days prior to the event. Only your best three finishes will be used to the determine final standings. You are not required to have three finishes if one is high enough to qualify. The Player's Series strictly enforces slow play and is not a six-hour slog that the Golf Channel and Tour and others have become. Also, once you qualify for the finals, there are no additional fees. Again, unlike the other tours. Finally, there is a provision to help seniors and high handicappers compete more equitably.   

There is only a one-time Player’s Series membership fee of $49 which also nets you a quality high-tech golf shirt from tournament sponsor Antigua. Depending on the venue, you’ll pay green fees and a modest prize pool in advance online or you’ll just pay the prize pool online and green fees at the course. You’ll still need to complete and return an application. Good luck this season.

RULE OF 70: If your handicap + your age is greater than or equal to 70, you can move forward one tee box.

REGISTRATION: Each event is first-come, first-served until the field is full. Tee times and a rules sheet for each event will be posted at least three days prior to each event. You can access your tee time by visiting this page.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Open to amateurs only. All players should be prepared to produce a current handicap card or a handicap pre-approved by GolfStyles.

2013 Player's Series Schedule After becoming a member, sign up for as many events as you wish. You can sign up for events when you become a member or return as often as you like to register for events separately. All but one event takes place on Saturday morning. REFUND POLICY: Because GolfStyles has contractual agreements with each course, your entry fee will only be refunded if the tournament director receives an email requesting your withdrawal 10 days prior to an event. It is transferable up to three (3) days prior to an event.

FORMATS: Individual, 18-hole stroke-play tournaments. Points are awarded in each tournament based on net and gross finishes. Point standings will be published in GolfStyles and posted at www.GolfStylesOnline.com on the GolfStyles Tournament Scoreboard. You may play in as many or as few events as you want, but only your top three (3) finishes will be used to determine final standings.

  Any player with an index that does not have scores posted in 2012o will play at scratch. GolfStyles reserves the right to disqualify any player who carries more than one handicap, any player who does not post a Player’s Series or tournament score within 14 days, or for any other reason it deems a score to be irregular.
